                             RESOLUTION NO.   19967 
                  
                  
                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ADMINISTRATOR
                   OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS TO EXECUTE
                   A CONTRACT WITH THE STATE OF TENNESSEE,
                   DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, RELATIVE TO
                   THE JOINT DEVELOPMENT OF SHALLOWFORD ROAD
                   FROM POLYMER DRIVE TO LEE HIGHWAY, WITH THE
                   CITY'S SHARE TO BE ONE MILLION, THREE
                   HUNDRED TWENTY-TWO THOUSAND, FOUR HUNDRED
                   AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($1,322,400.00); AND
                   FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE CITY'S FINANCE
                   OFFICER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH THE
                   TREASURY DEPARTMENT OF THE STATE OF
                   TENNESSEE FOR THE CITY'S PRO RATA SHARE OF
                   THE ESTIMATED PROJECT COST.

       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That the Administrator of the Department
       of Public Works be and is hereby authorized to execute a contract 

       with the State of Tennessee, Department of Transportation,
       relative to the joint development of Shallowford Road from 
Polymer
       Drive to Lee Highway, Project No. STP-3556(4), with the City's
       share to be $1,322,400.00;
       	    	 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City Finance Officer be
       and is hereby authorized to execute a contract with the Treasury
       Department of the State of Tennessee for the City's pro rata 
share
       of the estimated project cost.
